Blades for Mountmaster Cutters (MM-1) - March 2012
I have a Mountmaster Cutter and, for some time, I have been having difficulty in trying to source replacement blades.
I have now found a suitable source, so if you are in need of some blades, similar to MM-1, please let me know by clicking the link below . The blades I have are not exactly the same as the MM-1 blades historically supplied by Mountmaster. Those were ground on one side only (the front) whereas the ones I have are ground on both sides - by this I mean front and back, not top and bottom. (Note: this does mean that, when one end is blunt, you can use the other end.)
I have been made aware that some of you have had difficulties with the blades I have supplied and I think I have found a solution. Please click here to read (or page down).

Having problems with the blades I have supplied? - I think I have a solution here ...
- If the blade can move within the two guiding (black) pins - try resting the blade on the pin marked A in the picture below.
- Try loosening the white plastic screw (marked B in the picture below) to allow the blade to move down so that a lillte more of the blade is made available for cutting. Don't forget to tighten the white plastic screw before proceeding.
- Pay a visit to your local hardware shop and ask them to cut a standard bracket to a length that it can support the blade to prevent bending without interfering with the cut (see C in the picture below) and fitted in the second picture below. I can supply these for a nominal fee for anyone who has difficulty in obtaining something suitable.
